Challah Make you Holla French Toast
1 1/2 cup of whole milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 loaf challah bread
Maple syrup or favorite flavored syrup
Preheat griddle or pan to medium high heat. Preheat oven to 250 to keep warm. In a shallow baking dish, whisk together eggs, milk and vanilla, sprinkle cinnamon. Slice Challah bread about 1/2 inch thick. Soak bread slices in the egg mixture for 2 minutes, turning only once.
Heat 1 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp oil on griddle or in a large pan.
Cook bread slices on griddle, about 2 minutes each side. Transfer toast to baking sheet and place in oven to keep warm.
Serve with fresh fruit, dust with powdered sugar, and serve with maple syrup or your favorite flavored syrup.
